Motif Making With A Triad

Summary:
I had to create a motif (or a riff) using only the notes in the C major triad, which are C, E, and G. The riff could only last 8 measures, but could be at any tempo I wanted.
My Motif:
My motif consisted of the C, E, and G notes on the fourth octave, and played as follows: C4, C4, C4, E4, C4, G4, C4, E4, and so on…
Here’s the motif

What I Learned:

I learned that all it takes is three notes to make a catchy riff, which is quite surprising, considering many people use way more notes than that to make a riff.
